The best cafes to work from in East London
East London is a hub of great independent and small chain cafes to work from and enjoy some excellent coffee.
Benk + Bo is our top spot to work from in East London. With amazing coffee and a very work-friendly atmosphere, you can settle in and easily spend the whole day there! You won't have to worry about plugs, wifi or lunch - Benk has made every effort to make this a comfortable workspace for everyone with a super homey feel.
Benk also runs a lot of community and creative initiatives - check out the full review for more details!
OAT has two cafes pretty close to each other in East London, one off Shoreditch High Street and one on Brick Lane.
Both are great places to work from with good wifi and great coffee. The staff are really-friendly so you can settle in and get some work done without feeling the pressure of buying more and more.
Kahaila is a super friendly and cosy spot on Brick Lane. It's a charity-run cafe serving ethically-sourced coffee and a wide range of cakes and bakes if you fancy a treat! There are plugs along the walls if you can snag a seat there and easy lunch options like avocado toast to keep you fuelled all day.
Although I wouldn't recommend it for Zoom calls, it's an especially good place to get stuck in to some analogue work or a good book.
This trendy hotel is a popular work spot in East London. You definitely won't feel like the "odd-one-out" being on a laptop here, especially if you can find a seat in the lobby area. It does get busy early though and if you miss a spot in the lobby, there are also plenty seats available in the cafe/ restaurant area where you're welcome to work from and the whole place is open late all week if you're on that late night grind.
